Gemelli on James Street is our beautiful Italian restaurant in Brisbane. Here, we serve up pizza, pasta, antipasti, authentic main meals and Italian sweets to make your knees weak. The beautiful timber clad, light-filled three-story dining space has an airy feel, like you’ve found yourself in a modern restaurant smack bang in the middle of Italy in Summer. Don’t let the word ‘modern’ throw you off though, Gemelli is as authentic an Italian restaurant as they come. Our pizzas are cooked in a bespoke wood-fired oven imported all the way from Naples. We’re all about real Italian food handmade with love.
Bar Tano
A sibling venue to our gorgeous Gemelli, these Italian Restaurants in Brisbane couldn’t be more different! Bar Tano pairs snacks and drinks with the joys of people watching. This Italian-style street bar is designed to feel like an aperitivo spot, like you’ve sat down in an Italian piazza, but the décor is inspired by the aperitivo’s birthplace, Milano. Don’t just duck in for happy hour though, Bar Tano is a place you can spend hours. The walk-in only 55-seater bar is perfect place to grab a drink, maybe share a antipasti board, and hang out until the sun sets and you can get up for a boogie or watch others dance the night away.

While Gemelli is a more family friendly affair, the space is also perfect for group dinners, a casual date night or a relaxed dinner with friends. If you’re after a sit-down meal, Gemelli is the place for you.
Bar Tano, our walk-in only bar next door is dark and moody, featuring green marble, polished concrete and plenty of mirrors. This is the ideal spot for a date night, a night out with friends, or a solo aperitif.
